Extra - Curricular Opportunities

K2K Pendle Hill provides more than just care to children. Through our weekly lessons of Sports, Dancing, Yoga and Tai Chi, we prepare them for life. The extra-curricular opportunities will result in children having greater self-confidence, enhanced self-esteem, and a real sense of achievement, all of which shape their physiological wellbeing.

Sports

K2K have partnered with readysteadygokids to provide weekly lessons to the children. Experienced coaches will conduct weekly lessons covering 10 different sports over 2 terms, to help children develop a broad range of skills and build a platform of sporting knowledge.

Dance (Dance till you Drop)

Dancing is a great activity for young children as it promotes a healthy physical and cognitive development, emotional maturity and raises social awareness. Dance also helps to increase child’s flexibility, physical strength, and stamina. At K2K, your child will have the opportunity to learn all these skills by participating in weekly lessons provided by professionals in the field – Dance Till You Drop.

Yoga

Yoga is one form of practice which includes breath control and specific body postures that provides a range of physical, spiritual, and mental relaxation. It teaches children to be calm, while gaining awareness of the bodies, self-control, and discipline. K2K provides Yoga lessons to children as part of our program allowing children to develop and increase their confidence, builds concentration, and strengthen growing bodies.

Tai Chi

Tai chi is an ancient system of exercise that was developed in China in the 12th century A.D

Tai chi is considered a mind-body exercise. “I would even add that tai chi is a mind-body-spirit exercise. “The mind reflects a person’s thoughts, emotions, attitudes, and beliefs, while the body is our physical health, and the spirit represents breath.

K2K provides , children an opportunity to experience mindfulness through Tai chi which is practiced weekly.
