TE (Solomons) is backed by over 65 years of experience, rooted in the foundation laid by TE (PNG) Limited, which was established in 1955 in Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea.
As we expand into the Solomon Islands, TE (Solomons) brings the same diversity and commitment to service delivery and quality product supply. Key Milestones
1955: TE (PNG) Limited was founded.
1959: Office in Port Moresby opened.
1960–1970: Established product range, growing partnerships with top global brands.
1990: Expanded communications division and designed VHF/UHF Radio Repeater network in Port Moresby, upgraded to IP and digital systems to meet modern needs.
1991: Secured the contract for PA and communications at the South Pacific Games, managing over 650 radios and large-scale audio equipment with a professional crew.
1997: Supplied BP Solar vaccine fridge systems to the Department of Energy and provided radio communications for the Sea Kayaking World Cup in Manus Province.
2002: Expanded into musical instruments, growing rapidly due to demand. Brands include Fender, Casio, Power Beat, DXP, and more.
2006: Added Information and Communications Technology (ICT) to the portfolio, supporting computer-based systems and IT solutions alongside the Broadcast and Communications divisions.
2024: TE (Solomons) officially launched, bringing decades of expertise from Papua New Guinea to the Solomon Islands, ready to serve with top-tier communication, technology, and equipment solutions.
